Houston Air & Heating is a d/b/a of Dominion Digital Group. This page describes the information the phone line (832) 662-4107 and the website houstonairandheating.com handle, why, and what you can do about it. It is a plain-language summary, not legal advice. In this policy "the line" means Houston Air & Heating.
Information you give on a call
An automated assistant answers the line. To route your call it asks what you need and, for heating or cooling, a few questions about the problem. Depending on the call you may give your name, a callback number, your city, ZIP code or area, and a short account of the problem with your heating or cooling. The phone system also receives the number you call from and the date and time of the call, the same as any phone service.
Information you send in the request form
The contact page has a short request form. It asks for your name, phone number, email address (optional), city or ZIP code, what you need, and any note you choose to add. The form is handled by the website host, Netlify, which stores what you send. The details are then sent to the site owner by text message and email so the request can be passed to an independent local heating and air conditioning company that calls you back. They are not sold, and they are not used to put you on a marketing list.
Who receives it
The line exists to hand your call or form request to a locally owned HVAC business that operates independently of it. For that, a short summary of your call is passed to that company before it picks up, and a form request is passed on so the company can call you back. If the company cannot answer, your name, callback number, area and problem go to that company for a return call. Once that company has your details, its own privacy practices apply to what it does with them; ask it directly.
The line also relies on service providers that run the phone system and host the website. They handle information only to provide that service. The line does not sell your personal information and does not share it with other businesses for their own marketing. Information may be disclosed where the law requires it or to protect legal rights.
Text messages
The website has no sign-up forms and does not collect mobile numbers for marketing texts. A phone number sent in the request form is used only so a local company can call you back about that request. If the company you are put through to texts you about your job, that message comes from that company under its own policies. Mobile numbers and any text message consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Information the website collects
Apart from the request form described above, the site has no sign-up forms. Like most websites, its hosting service records basic technical data for each visit, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. If analytics are added in the future, this policy will be updated to say so.
The free refrigerant guide is a direct PDF download. You do not give a name, phone number or email address to get it.
The EN/ES button uses Google Translate. When you choose Spanish, the site stores a small cookie named googtrans to remember your choice and loads Google's translation script, which receives the page text and technical data under Google's privacy policy (opens in a new tab). Choosing English removes the cookie.
How long information is kept
Call details and form requests are kept only as long as needed to connect and follow up on your request, to keep records the business is required to keep, and to deal with any dispute. Reasonable safeguards protect it, but no phone or internet system is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what information the line holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, subject to records that must be kept. Texas residents may have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (opens in a new tab) (Business and Commerce Code, Chapter 541). To make a request, including asking for a form submission to be deleted, call (832) 662-4107.
Children
This service is intended for grown-ups dealing with heating or cooling at a home or business. They are not directed to children under 13, and information from children is not knowingly collected.
