These terms apply when you use houstonairandheating.com or call (832) 662-4107. Houston Air & Heating is a d/b/a of Dominion Digital Group, called "the line" below. By calling or using the website you accept these terms.
What the line does
The line is a free referral phone service. An automated assistant answers, asks about your heating or cooling problem and hands the call to a separately owned local HVAC business working in the Houston area. When that business cannot pick up, it receives your details and calls you back. The line itself does no HVAC contracting: no inspections, diagnoses, repairs, installations, servicing, quotes, scheduling or supervision, and it has no HVAC license of any kind.
Any contract is between you and the company
Each company is a separate business. It decides whether to take your job, inspects the system, sets its own prices, does the work and bills you. Payment, warranties, cancellation and any dispute about the work are between you and that company. Ask for its price, scope and warranty in writing before work starts. The line has no part in that contract and makes no promise about any company's availability, timing, price, workmanship, licensing or insurance.
Fees
Calling the line and being transferred costs you nothing. A company can pay the line for referrals. Any such fee is not added to your bill by the line; ask the company how it prices its work.
Check the license yourself
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) licenses air conditioning and refrigeration contractors. Before hiring, get the company's ACR license number and search it in TDLR's online license lookup (opens in a new tab) before you hire it. The line does not verify licenses for you.
Website content
The guides on this site are general information, researched from the public sources listed on each page. They are not a diagnosis of your system, a quote or professional advice for your property, and rules, programs and prices change. Cost figures on the site are published third-party ranges, not prices from the line or from any company.
Safety comes first
If you smell gas, leave the building and phone 911 or the gas utility's emergency line once you are out. When a carbon monoxide alarm goes off or someone shows signs of heat illness, call 911. Do not wait for an HVAC company in an emergency.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither the line nor Dominion Digital Group is responsible for what any independent company does, sells, charges or advises, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or the phone line. Both the website and the line come as is, with no warranties.
Privacy
How call details are handled is described in the privacy policy.
